Municipality of Queens

Close to 50 communities make up the Region of Queens Municipality.  Historic sites, natural wonders, thriving festivals and a strong artistic community make this a place where balance between work and play is easy to find.  Only 1 ½ hours from Nova Scotia’s capital Halifax makes it an easy commute for day trips.

There is truly something for everyone here.  Liverpool is home to the new Queens Place Emera Centre, a facility that houses a NHL sized arena, indoor track & fitness centre. Liverpool is also where you will find the Astor Theatre which is the oldest performing arts venue & the only one of two independent movie theatres in NS.

With Kejimkujik National Park and Atlantic coastal locations and several  Provincial and Municipal Parks, trails, beaches, and designated wilderness areas, there are plenty of opportunities for those looking for adventure.
